  • 2022: Department Award for Research Excellence for the article "The Polls—Trends: Public Opinion Toward European Defense Policy and Nato: Still Wanting it Both Ways?", co-authored with Matthias Mader and Pierangelo Isernia and published in Public Opinion Quarterly in 2021.

  • 2022: Wiley award for the paper "Framing effects on the COVID-19 See-Saw" (co-authored with Mattia Guidi, Sergio Martini and Pierangelo Isernia) as top cited article 2020-2021 in the Swiss Political Science Review

  • 2022: Department Award for Research Excellence for the article "Sharing the burden in a free riders’ land: The EU migration and asylum policy in the views of public opinion and politicians", co-authored with Linda Basile and published in the European Journal of Political Research in 2020.

  • 2018: National Scientific Qualification as Associate Professor (Abilitazione Scientifica Nazionale - Professore Seconda Fascia) in Political Science (14/A2) from the Italian Ministry of Education, University & Research.

  • 2016: Best paper award for the best paper presented at the 11th European Community Studies Association Canada (ECSA-C) Biennial Conference, May 9-11, Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada. 

  • 2010: 3rd prize at the Montaione International Prize for a paper on participation by a young researcher.
